Freedom Red was the standard cultivar in North America during the 1990’s and is still used by many. Freedom 2015 is a new selection that is meant to reduce the amount of variation seen in Freedom Red and reduce late season stretch. The plants still have the standard Freedom appearance and growth habit. Plants flowered mid-season.
